How to Make Saagu

  • In a pressure cooker, cook the vegetables with salt and a little turmeric powder for one whistle.
  • Do not add too much water to cook the vegetables.
  • Take a little oil in a kadai. Season it with some mustard seeds.
  • Add the cooked vegetables and the ground paste.
  • Allow the whole mixture to boil at a low heat till you get the required consistency of a liquid curry.
  • Serve hot with puris, chapattis or phulkas.
