Ingredients

  • 1 - tomato, chopped
  • 1 - brinjal, chopped
  • 1 - potato, chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 8 to 9 - beans
  • 1/2 cup - tur dal
  • 2 to 3 tsp - Tamarind juice or paste
  • 2 tsps - saaru powder
  • Red Chilli powder - to taste
  • Chopped Coriander leaves
  • Oil
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • 1 tsp - cumin
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as needed

How to Make

  • Cook tomato, potato, beans, brinjal with tur dal, a bit of tamarind juice or paste, salt, water and 1 tsp of saaru powder.
  • Saute in a pan curry leaves, mustard, cumin and onions.
  • Now, add the boiled vegetable with vegetable stock.
  • Add the remaining tamarind juice or paste. Stir well.
  • Add some more saaru powder, red chilli powder and stir well.
  • Add the chopped coriander leaves and cook well.
  • Add ghee to enhance the taste.
  • Eat it with rice.
