Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Sago
  • 1/2 cup - moong dal
  • 1 - Green chilli
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Curry leaves a few
  • Asafoetida - a pinch
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 2 - tsp - grated Coconut
  • How to Make Sabudhana Sundal:

    1. Dry roast the moong dal and soak in water for 1 hour.
    2. Pressure cook the dal for 1 whistle.
    3. The dal should not be overcooked
    4. Soak the sabudhana in water for 2 hours.
    5. Once they become soft, drain and keep aside.
    6. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds, add broken chilli, curry leaves and asafoetida and fry for a minute.
    7. Now add the cooked dal and mix well
    8. To this add sabudhana and salt and mix well
    9. Now add grated coconut to the sundal and mix well.
