Ingredients

  • 120g - Ground Almonds
  • 220 g - Castor Sugar
  • 2 - Egg whites
  • 1/2 tsp - Saffron mixed with 1/2 tbsp - of warm milk.
  • 20 -Almonds.

How to Make Saffron Amaretti

  • Combine ground almonds, caster sugar, egg whites and saffron in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer for 3 to 4 mins.
  • Spoon the mixture into the piping bag fitted with 1 cm plain tube.
  • Now pipe them in circular form in a greased and lined baking tray.
  • Place 1 almond on top of each biscuit.
  • Now cover the tray with foil and refrigerate for 12 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius.
  • Bake for 10 to 12 mins.
  • Cool in a wire rack.
  • Serve with milk.
