Ingredients

  • Cracked wheat - 2 tbsp
  • Cold milk - 6 cups
  • Hot milk- 2 tbsp
  • Saffron strands- 1/2 tsp
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Thick cream - 2 tbsp
  • Sugar - 6-8-tbsp
  • Almonds - 8-10 toasted flakes, Raisins - 15
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - 1/2 cup

How to Make Saffron Cracked Wheat Pudding

  • Soak the saffron strands in the hot milk.
  • Take a pan, heat ghee and fry the cracked wheat in it for 2 minutes, then add water and cook it for 5 minutes.
  • Mash it in to a paste
  • Start heating the milk on a medium heat and reduce it to half.
  • Now add the wheat paste to it keep on stirring until it is thick.
  • Then add cream and saffron milk and cook for 1 minute.
  • Then turn of the heat and add sugar and salt to it and mix well.
  • Spoon into serving dish with almonds and raisins.
