  • 1 cup - Ricotta cheese (full fat)
  • 1/2 cup - rolled oats
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1 cup - Milk powder (low fat)
  • 2 pinches - Saffron
  • 1/4 cup - Pistachio pieces
  • 1 tbsp + 1 tsp - Butter
  • How to Make Saffron Oats Peda:

    1. Take a microwave bowl and add ricotta cheese, sugar, milk powder, saffron and butter. Stir continuously until the cheese gets well mixed. This looks like a creamy paste.
    2. Microwave at high temperature for 5 minutes.
    3. In another microwave bowl, add a tsp of butter and rolled oats and cook for 5 minutes at high temperature.
    4. Add cooked oats to the cheese mixture and cook again at high temperature for 15 minutes in microwave oven.
    5. Keep an eye on it while doing this. When you see the milk mixture turning slightly brownish at the edges, transfer to a flat plate and keep aside to let it cool.
    6. Once it has cooled, shape into pedas, arrange pistachio pieces over them and serve. Recipe courtesy: Priya Easy N Tasty Recipe
