Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Sago/Sabudana
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 3/4 cup - Palm Jaggery (grated)
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom
  • A few Cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp - Ghee
  • A few Cucumber seeds for topping
  • How to Make Sago Palm Jaggery Kheer:

    1. Soak the sago for 10 minutes and drain it. This will help for quick cooking. If it's a small variety, there's no need to soak. You can cook directly.
    2. Heat the ghee, fry the cashew nuts until they turn brown and remove.
    3. In the same vessel, fry the soaked sago for a few seconds, add 2 cups of water and let it cook for a few minutes.
    4. Make a thick syrup with palm jaggery and enough water.
    5. Now add the palm jaggery syrup and milk to the sago and cook well.
    6. Finally add the cardamom powder and fried cashew nuts to the kheer.
    7. Serve topped with some cucumber seeds. Recipe courtesy: Priya Easy N Tasty Recipe
