  • 1 cup - Sago (soaked for two hours)
  • 1 cup - Idli batter
  • 2 tbsp - Rice flour
  • 1 tsp - Peppercorns
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • Salt
  • A few Curry leaves
  • Oil for Deep Frying
  • How to Make Sago Pepper Bonda:

    1. Crush the peppercorns and cumin seeds with a mortar and pestle.
    2. Drain the excess water from the soaked sago and mix with idli batter, rice flour, crushed peppercorns, cumin seeds, salt and curry leaves.
    3. Heat enough oil for Deep Frying. Once the oil is hot, drop some sago-idli batter mixture gently into the oil with a teaspoon and fry on both sides until it turns golden brown.
