Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Sago (soaked for two hours)
  • 1 cup - Idli batter
  • 2 tbsp - Rice flour
  • 1 tsp - Peppercorns
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • Salt
  • A few Curry leaves
  • Oil for Deep Frying

How to Make Sago Pepper Bonda

  • Crush the peppercorns and cumin seeds with a mortar and pestle.
  • Drain the excess water from the soaked sago and mix with idli batter, rice flour, crushed peppercorns, cumin seeds, salt and curry leaves.
  • Heat enough oil for Deep Frying. Once the oil is hot, drop some sago-idli batter mixture gently into the oil with a teaspoon and fry on both sides until it turns golden brown.
