Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Sago
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1 - Cardamom
  • handful - Cashew nuts
  • 1/2 handful- Raisins
  • Ghee
  • 1 tsp - Saffron
  • 1 cup - Milk
  • 2 cups - water
  • How to Make Sago Soup:

    1. Cook sago in a vessel till it becomes transparent.
    2. Once it is cooked in water, add sugar and keep stirring till it dissolves.
    3. Then add cardamom powder.
    4. In the meanwhile fry cashew nuts and raisins in ghee and add this to payasam.
    5. Soak saffron in milk and add this to the payasam.
    6. Add milk and keep stirring.
    7. Sago payasam is delicious and ready to be served.
    8. It can be served hot or cold.
