  • Chapatti 3-4
  • Onion 1
  • Tomatoes 2-3
  • Green chillies 3-4
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil as per need
  • Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • How to Make Sal Phulka:

    1. Break the chapattis into small pieces.
    2. Take a tsp of oil and add the mustard and cumin seeds into it.
    3. Once it splutters, add the chopped onions and green chillies.
    4. Add the garlic paste and fry the mixture till the onion is pink in colour and loses its raw smell.
    5. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook till it is smashed.
    6. Now, add the masalas and fry for 2 minutes.
    7. Next, add 2 cups of water and add salt (as per taste and be careful as the chapatti already has salt in it).
    8. Let the water start boiling.
    9. Then, add the chapatti pieces and mix properly in the gravy.
    10. Cook in medium heat and keep mixing or else the chapatti pieces might get stuck to the bottom of the pan.
    11. Once the water is soaked and dry, keep cooking for 2 more minutes.
    12. Sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves on top and serve immediately.
