Ingredients

  • 2 ripe juicy Tomatoes
  • 2 med Onions finely chopped
  • 1 firm Capsicum
  • 2 flakes Garlic
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 2 tbsp - Tomato puree or ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp - ajwain (thymol seeds)
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - crushed Red Chilli
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Salsa Dip:

    1. Place tomatoes in boiling water. keep aside for 15 minutes.
    2. Push a fork into crown of capsicum and hold over a direct fire.
    3. Rotate to burn evenly. Roast till skin is black.
    4. Hold fork under running water and scrape capsicum's black skin and chop finely.
    5. Drain, peel tomatoes and chop finely.
    6. Grate or crush garlic.
    7. Heat oil, add garlic and onions. Saute till light brown.
    8. Add all other ingredients and bring to boil.
    9. Cook on low fire for 7-8 minutes by stirring frequently.
    10. Serve warm with corn chips, salad or vegetable fingers.
