Ingredients

  • 10-20 - Gooseberries
  • 15-16 - Green chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder, a pinch
  • How to Make Salted gooseberry pickle:

    1. Wash the gooseberries and soak in a bowl of water.
    2. Add turmeric to water and boil.
    3. Once the water starts to boil, add the gooseberries and let it boil for 2 to 3 mins. Keep aside.
    4. After the gooseberries cool, transfer the gooseberries with the water into a glass bottle.
    5. Slit green chillies and add to it. Add salt to taste.
    6. Keep the bottle in room temperature for 1 day and then store the pickle in the refrigerator.
