flour - 2 cups

Dal, soaked in water - 3 tsps

How to Make Sarvapindi
Soak rice in water for 1.5 hours and drain the excess water. Let the rice dry for a while, so that there is no water content left.
Grind the rice coarsely in a mixie (to look like rava).
Cut green chillies and red chillies.
Take a kadai, heat some oil, add mustard, urud dal, and the red chillies.
Once the mustard splutters, add the green chillies and curry leaves.
Add 2 to 3 cups of water, salt to taste and some perungayam powder. Let the water boil.
Once it boils, add the rice flour and mix thoroughly.
Cook on low heat 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool a little.
Take a steamer and oil it. Then make small balls with the dough and steam them for 15 minutes.
Serve with coconut chutney.
