  • 3/4 cup - water
  • 2 1/2 tsp - corn flour
  • 4-5 tsp - sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - essence
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • few drops of color to match the essence.

How to Make Sauces from Colors and Flavorings

  • Mix water, sugar and corn flour. Cook while stirring continuously. The syrup should coat the back of a spoon.
  • Cool a bit. Add color, lemon juice & essence. Mix well.
  • Pour over desired scoops of ice creams before serving.
