Ingredients

  • 650 g - fish fillet
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup - hung yogurt
  • 2 tbsp - plain flour
  • 2 tbsp - Peanuts (roasted)
  • 1 cup - Coconut (grated)
  • 1 tsp - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 2 cups - hot water
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • How to Make Saucy Machli:

    1. Grind the peanuts, coconut and green chillies to a fine paste.
    2. Mix the paste with the yogurt and plain flour.
    3. Blend this mixture well to make a smooth paste.
    4. Add salt and pour hot water, gradually.
    5. Stir continuously to avoid lumps.
    6. Cover and cook at high for 7 mins, stirring once.
    7. Add the fish, cover and cook at 30% for 5 mins.
    8. Garnish with coriander leaves and lemon juice.
