Ingredients

  • 5-6 - bread slices
  • 1 big - onion
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 1/4 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • 1 - grated carrot
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds -
  • curry leaves, a few
  • 2 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
  • salt to taste

How to Make Savoury Bread (Bread Upma)

  • Cut bread slices into small square pieces and keep aside.
  • In a non stick kadai heat oil, add mustard seeds.
  • After it crackles, add curry leaves and chopped onion and saute till it becomes soft.
  • Add slit green chillies, salt and add chilli powder.
  • Put the bread pieces in it and saute for 3-4 mins till it gets mixed well.
  • Finally, garnish with grated carrot and coriander leaves.
