  • 3 cups - flour
  • 2 tsps - baking powder
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1 cup - butter
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 cup milk

How to Make Scones

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Rub or cut butter into the mixture.
  • Add raisins and stir to mix well.
  • Beat the egg with the milk and add to the flour mixture. Mix well.
  • Turn on to floured board, roll or pat til dough is of 3/4 inch thickness. Use a floured knife to cut into triangles.
  • Place them on a greased baking tray and bake for around 20 mins, until golden.
