  • 1 kg - Crab
  • 2 - big Onions finely sliced
  • 4 - big Tomatoes chopped
  • 6 tbsps - oil
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp - Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • Chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • How to Make Sea Crabs Hot Fry:

    1. Heat 3 tbsps of oil and fry the onions till brown.
    2. Remove half the fried onions and keep aside.
    3. To the remaining half of the onions in the pan, add chopped tomato and continue to fry till soft.
    4. Remove from heat and keep aside to cool.
    5. Grind the fried onions and tomato to a smooth paste.
    6. Heat a deep pan with 3 tbsps oil.
    7. When hot, lower the heat. Add the ground paste and fry for 2-3 mins.
    8. Add red chilli powder, Kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to taste. |Continue to fry the masala for a further 2-3 mins.
    9. Add a little water so that it does not burn. Fry till the oil separates.
    10. Add crabs and 1/2 cup water. Cover and cook for 8-10 mins or till crabs are cooked and the gravy has thickened.
    11. Garnish with chopped coriander and fried onions.
