Ingredients

  • 2 liters - whole fat Milk
  • 2 - cooking apples, peeled and diced into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • 5 - almonds, thinly slivered
  • 5 - pistachios, thinly slivered
  • 15 to 20 - strands Saffron

How to Make Seb ka kheer

  • Boil milk to reduce to two-third in volume. In another pan, cook both apples and sugar.
  • When apples have softened drain.
  • Add drained liquid to kheer.
  • Boil milk further for 5 minutes, to thicken.
  • Add in apple and all other ingredients.
  • Cook further for 3-4 minutes.
  • Serve hot or very well chilled.
  • Garnish with slivers of chopped almonds and pistachios.
