  • 2 cups - Vermicelli-/Semiya
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 2 tsp - Ginger grated
  • 1 cup - Gram flour
  • 1 tbsp - Rice flour
  • 1 tsp - Maida
  • 1tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 cup - Yoghurt
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying
  • How to Make Semiya Vada:

    1. Boil some water and cook the vermicelli for few min and drain it and allow to cool.
    2. In yogurt add cooked vermicelli in a bowl and add ginger, green chillies, onion.
    3. Mix with all other ingredients.
    4. Yoghurt is enough to make a dough, if not add little bit water.
    5. Press in your palm to flatten it and fry these vadas till golden brown and crispy.
    6. Serve hot with any kind of chutneys or tomato ketchup.
