  • 2 cups - Jaggery, grated
  • 1 cup - Puffed Rice
  • 1/4 cup - Sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup - Peanuts
  • 1/2 cup - quick rolled oats
  • 1 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • Ghee for greasing
  • 1/2 cup - Dried fruits like strawberries, apricots, cashew, raisins, Walnuts etc.
  • How to Make Sesame and Oats Bars:

    1. Heat the sesame on a dry tava, to light brown colour and keep aside.
    2. Dry roast the oatmeal for a minute and keep aside.
    3. Make the syrup by heating the jaggery with a little water.
    4. Adding a little ghee to this will ensure the jaggery does not stick to the bottom.
    5. Stir the mix continuously on medium flame.
    6. You can alternatively, do the same in microwave for 1-2 minutes on high.
    7. Mix all the mentioned ingredients in the jaggery syrup and stir till well mixed.
    8. Pour into a greased plate and spread evenly.
    9. Cut into squares when it is slightly cooled.
