Ingredients

  • 100 g. Paneer
  • 2 tbsp - plain flour
  • 2 tbsp - semolina (sooji)
  • 1 small tomato, deseeded and chopped
  • 2 green chillies, deseeded and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - black
  • pepper powder
  • 1 tsp -mustard seeds
  • Sesame seeds for coating
  • 4 bread slices
  • 1 tsp - oil
  • salt to taste
  • oil for shallow frying.
  • How to Make Sesame Paneer Toasties:

    1. Heat 1 tsp of oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds. When they crackle, remove from heat.
    2. Add to it the paneer, flour and semolina. Mash well.
    3. Add all the other ingredients except the sesame seeds and the oil for shallow frying. Mix well.
    4. Cut the bread slices diagonally. Spread the mixture on the bread and sprinkle the sesame seeds on the top.
    5. Add 1 tsp. oil in a non-stick pan and place two pieces of bread with the topping side down.
    6. Cook till crisp and golden. Now flip over to the other side, adding 1 tsp. of oil as you do so and cook till this side is crisp as well.
    7. Repeat for the rest of the bread slices.
    8. Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
