  • 3-4 tbsp - oil
  • 6 - pavs (or 12 bread slices)
  • 1 bunch - fresh Coriander leaves
  • 1 inch piece - Ginger
  • 2 tbsp - chopped Garlic
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 1 - medium-sized Onion
  • 2 - large Tomatoes (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp - dry coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Seyal Dabroti (Masala Bread):

    1. Grind the coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, green chillies and onion in a mixer (the mixture should be in shredded form and not as paste).
    2. Heat oil in a kadai or large frying pan. Add the masala.
    3. Add the dry spices, tomatoes and salt and cook for 15 mins on low flame.
    4. When the oil separates from the masala, add the sliced pavs or bread slices. Turn the sides of the pavs/bread slices so that they get coated with the masala properly.
    5. Reduce the flame to the minimum, sprinkle a little water and cover the kadai with a lid.
    6. Remove from the flame when the seyal bread is soft and ready.
    7. Serve with papad and onion rings.
