Ingredients

  • 200 gms - Mushrooms (cut into 2 sections)
  • 4 onions,
  • finely cut
  • 2 green chillies, cut into long pieces
  • 1 inch piece ginger, crushed finely
  • 5 tomatoes, cut finely into pieces
  • 1/2 cup - cashewnuts, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 tbsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1 cup - Cream
  • 1 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - fresh coriander leaves, cut very finely
  • Ghee as required
  • For garnishing:
  • Fried green peas.

How to Make Shahi mushroom

  • In a karahi (also kadai, korai, karai, kadhi, kadahi, kadhai or cheena chatti), heat ghee and add the onions and fry till golden brown
  • Then add green chillies, garlic and tomatoes and cook.
  • Once this is cooked, remove the mixture from fire and let it cool.
  • Now make a paste in the blender.
  • In pan, mix all the other ingredients except the mushrooms and cook for 2 mins.
  • Then add the mushrooms and let it cook on low flame.
  • When the mushrooms are cooked, add the fresh coriander leaves and garnish it with fried green peas and serve hot.
