Ingredients

  • 200 gms - Mushrooms (cut into 2 sections)
  • 4 onions,
  • finely cut
  • 2 green chillies, cut into long pieces
  • 1 inch piece ginger, crushed finely
  • 5 tomatoes, cut finely into pieces
  • 1/2 cup - cashewnuts, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 tbsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1 cup - Cream
  • 1 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - fresh coriander leaves, cut very finely
  • Ghee as required
  • For garnishing:
  • Fried green peas.
  • How to Make Shahi mushroom:

    1. In a karahi (also kadai, korai, karai, kadhi, kadahi, kadhai or cheena chatti), heat ghee and add the onions and fry till golden brown
    2. Then add green chillies, garlic and tomatoes and cook.
    3. Once this is cooked, remove the mixture from fire and let it cool.
    4. Now make a paste in the blender.
    5. In pan, mix all the other ingredients except the mushrooms and cook for 2 mins.
    6. Then add the mushrooms and let it cook on low flame.
    7. When the mushrooms are cooked, add the fresh coriander leaves and garnish it with fried green peas and serve hot.
