Ingredients

  • 250 g - Cottage cheese
  • 1 cup - peas (frozen or fresh)
  • 1 medium - Onion
  • 1/2 cup - Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 inch - Ginger
  • 2-3 pods - Garlic
  • 2 tsp - Cream fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 cup - Curd
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • salt
  • 2-3 tsp - oil
  • How to Make Shahi mutter paneer:

    1. In a blender, make a fine paste of onions, ginger and garlic.
    2. Heat a wok and add oil to it. Then add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
    3. Now, add the above paste. Fry till golden brown, and the oil starts to leave the sides of wok.
    4. Add tomato paste and fry again till the oil leaves the sides.
    5. To this, add the chilli powder, coriander powder, haldi, garam masala and fry for about 2-3 minutes.
    6. Add the curd and keep stirring continuously till it blends well.
    7. Don't stop stirring because the curd will split.
    8. Finally, add the cream and stir well.
    9. Add about 1 cup of water and let it come to a boil, then add peas to it and cook it covered for about 10 minutes.
    10. Add the pre-cut paneer pieces and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
    11. Garnish with a little bit of cream and chopped cilantro.
    12. Serve hot with chapattis or pulao or puri.
