Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - oil or Ghee
  • 6 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cups - water
  • 4 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 inch piece ginger, grated
  • salt to taste
  • Red Chilli powder to taste
  • 2 inch green capsicum, cut into 1 inch squares
  • 1 kg - Paneer (cottage cheese), cut into half inch cubes
  • 1 cup - Milk
  • 6-8 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 15 almonds, blanched, skin removed and thinly sliced
  • 4 tbsp - fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • Half cup Cream
  • How to Make Shahi paneer lababdar:

    1. Heat oil/ghee in a wok.
    2. Add onions and cook until transparent.
    3. Add 2 cups of water, cover and cook on medium heat.
    4. When the water dries up, add the tomatoes, ginger, salt, chilli powder.
    5. Cover and cook until the oil floats on top.
    6. Add capsicum, cook for 2 minutes.
    7. Add paneer cubes, green chillies and milk. Cook for 5 minutes.
    8. Add the almonds, stir and remove from heat.
    9. Add the cream and heat just before serving.
    10. Serve hot garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
