Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp - oil or ghee
  • 6 medium onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cups - water
  • 4 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 inch piece ginger, grated
  • salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder to taste
  • 2 inch green capsicum, cut into 1 inch squares
  • 1 kg - paneer (cottage cheese), cut into half inch cubes
  • 1 cup - milk
  • 6-8 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 15 almonds, blanched, skin removed and thinly sliced
  • 4 tbsp - fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • Half cup cream

How to Make Shahi paneer lababdar

  • Heat oil/ghee in a wok.
  • Add onions and cook until transparent.
  • Add 2 cups of water, cover and cook on medium heat.
  • When the water dries up, add the tomatoes, ginger, salt, chilli powder.
  • Cover and cook until the oil floats on top.
  • Add capsicum, cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add paneer cubes, green chillies and milk. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the almonds, stir and remove from heat.
  • Add the cream and heat just before serving.
  • Serve hot garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
