  • Four slices of bread each cut diagonally into two pieces
  • Sugar syrup (mix 2.5 cups of Sugar with 1 cup of water and cook syrup for five minutes)
  • Mawa or Fresh Malai (made thick by cooking) - 1/2 cup
  • Few cashewnuts, almonds, Coconut powder, raisins, silver Foil for garnishing
  • How to Make Shahi Toast:

    1. Fry all the slices in hot oil till golden brown.
    2. Dip these fried slices into sugar syrup for 30 seconds and take them out in a serving plate.
    3. Spread a layer of mawa or malai on upper surface of slices.
    4. Spread the shredded almonds, cashewnuts, raisins, coconut powder on mawa layer. Cover with sliver foil.
    5. Serve hot or cold, it tastes equally delicious.
