How to Make Shahi Tukra

  • Remove the crusts of the slices and cut into flour squares each.
  • Warm the frying pan, add spoonful of ghee, brown four or six squares at a time, turning over to brown both sides evenly.
  • Repeat the process till all the squares have been browned.
  • Fry nuts and keep aside with the squares.
  • In the same pan, add milk and let it evaporate.
  • When the quantity is reduced to half, add sugar, stirring well.
  • Add the fried pieces of bread taking care not to overlap one over the other.
  • Boil for a minute or two, remove from heat.
  • Flavour with nutmeg powder.
  • Serve cold decod with nuts, cream etc.
