Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - boneless beef, cut into small pieces
  • salt - according to taste
  • 1 cup - pre-soaked dal Channa
  • 8 to 10 - whole Dried red chillies
  • 10 - whole black pepper
  • 6 - Cloves
  • 1 - big elaichi
  • 1/2 tsp - Jeera
  • 1 - Stick of Cinnamon
  • 2 to 3 - Green chillies
  • 1/2 bunch - fresh Coriander leaves
  • 1 - Egg
  • 1 - medium sized onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tsp - Ginger paste
  • How to Make Shami Kabab:

    1. In a pot, put meat, salt, red chillies, chopped onion, black pepper, cloves, big elaichi, jeera, cinnamon, ginger and 3-4 glasses of water.
    2. Leave to tenderize on low-medium flame.
    3. Meanwhile, boil the dal separately until soft.
    4. When the meat has softened and water is dried completely, add the dal and mix together.
    5. Remove from heat and let it cool.
    6. Grind and add green chillies, egg and fresh coriander.
    7. Form into kebabs and deep fry.
