Ingredients

  • All purpose flour or Maida - 1 cup
  • Water - 2 cups
  • Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • salt - a pinch
  • Oil - 8 tbsp

How to Make Shankar Pole

  • Add about 4 tbsp of hot oil to maida. Mix well.
  • Knead the dough by adding water to it.
  • While kneading add powdered sugar and salt.
  • Keep it covered so that it will not dry.
  • Roll it on a flat surface and cut into small diamond shapes.
  • Deep-fry till golden brown and crispy.
  • It can be stored for one month.
