  • 1 kg - shark fish without the skin and bones cut into pieces
  • 3- Onions minced well
  • 2- Green chillies minced
  • 2 tsp - chillies powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Cuminutes powder
  • 2 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 4 tbsp - oil
  • salt
  • How to Make Shark Mince Fry (Shark Puttu):

    1. Wash the shark pieces well then boil in a little water with a pinch of turmeric and a little salt till soft.
    2. Drain the water and crumble into mince when slightly cold.
    3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions till golden brown.
    4. Add the garlic ginger paste, green chillies, chillies powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and fry for a few minutes till the oil separates.
    5. Now add the boiled shark mince and mix well.
    6. Add salt to taste.
    7. Cook on low heat turning all the time till it turns a nice brown colour.
    8. Serve with bread or rice.
