  • rava - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • water (boiled) - 1 cup
  • Pineapple chunks - 1/2 cup (optional)
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • yellow colour - 1 pinch
  • Ghee - 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Cashew nuts - 2 tsp
  • Raisins - 2 tsp
  • How to Make Sheera (Kesari Bath):

    1. Heat about 1.5 tbsp of ghee. Add cashew nuts, then add raisins. Add the rava and fry on medium flame till you feel a nice aroma and the rava becomes a little crisp.
    2. Add pineapple chunks and fry for a few seconds.
    3. Add hot water to this carefully as it might splash.
    4. Mix well, cover and let it cook on a slow flame.
    5. Once the rava is cooked, add sugar and stir well and see no lumps form in it.
    6. Add the yellow colour and stir for some more time until it starts forming like a ball.
    7. Add the remaining ghee in between (can add more ghee if desired), add the cardamom powder and mix well.
    8. Grease a tray (about 8-10") with little ghee.
    9. Spread it neatly tapping all around.
    10. Cut into squares or diamonds.
