Ingredients

  • 1 cup - shevya
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 1 cup - milk
  • 1 cup - scraped coconut
  • 1 cup - jaggery/ brown sugar
  • 1 pinch - salt
  • a few - cashewnuts
  • 1 tsp - nutmeg powder
  • 1 tbsp - butter/ghee

How to Make Shevaya (vermicelli) sheera with coconut

  • In a big microwavable bowl, microwave shevaya (dry) for 2 mins.
  • Remove and stir it.
  • Microwave again for 30 seconds to 1 minute until they are golden brown in colour.
  • Add all the remaining ingredients and microwave it for 3 mins.
  • Stir and microwave it for 2-3 mins.
  • Stir in between until it is fully cooked.
