Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - Toor Dal
  • 1 - Tomato
  • 2 - Drumsticks
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste
  • cumin seeds, Mustard Seeds for tadka
  • 1 pinch - Asafoetida
  • Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • Jaggery to taste
  • How to Make Shevgyachya Shengachi Amti:

    1. Boil toor dal with tomato in a pressure cooker.
    2. Chop drumstick into 1.5 inch long pieces.
    3. Heat oil in a big vessel, add cumin seeds, mustard, asafoetida, curry leaves, turmeric, chilli powders and chopped drumstick and fry.
    4. To this, add the cooked dal and water, salt and jaggery to taste.
    5. Garnish with coriander and serve with rice.
