  • 500 gms - shrimps, shelled and cleaned
  • 60 gms - ginger, shredded fine
  • 1 Onion or a bunch spring Onions, finely chopped (part of the leafy tops of the green Onions may be used)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5-2 tbsp - flour
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped, seeds removed
  • 2 Cloves garlic, minced fine or ground to a paste
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - freshly grated black pepper
  • Oil for deep frying
  • How to Make Shrimp balls:

    1. In a bowl, mix together all the above ingredients to a rather stiff batter.
    2. Heat oil till smoking and drop batter in small round balls into oil.
    3. Cook to a golden brown.
    4. Serve with tomato ketchup.
    5. Delightful as a cocktail snack.
