  • 500 gms - shrimps, shelled and cleaned
  • 60 gms - ginger, shredded fine
  • 1 onion or a bunch spring onions, finely chopped (part of the leafy tops of the green onions may be used)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5-2 tbsp - flour
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped, seeds removed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced fine or ground to a paste
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 tsp - freshly grated black pepper
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make Shrimp balls

  • In a bowl, mix together all the above ingredients to a rather stiff batter.
  • Heat oil till smoking and drop batter in small round balls into oil.
  • Cook to a golden brown.
  • Serve with tomato ketchup.
  • Delightful as a cocktail snack.
