Ingredients

  • 1.5 packets - chow mein noodles
  • 500 g - peeled, deveined uncooked shrimps
  • 1.5 tbsp - vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tbsp - sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp - dry sherry
  • 2 cups - diagonally sliced celery
  • 6 - small broccoli florets
  • 1/4 - red capsicum, julienne strips
  • 1/4 cup - green capsicum, julienne strips
  • 1 - small carrot, julienne strips
  • 1/2 cup - chopped spring onion
  • For mix:
  • 1 tbsp - dark soy sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp - oyster sauce
  • 1/4 tsp - black pepper powder
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp - corn flour
  • 1/2 tsp - sugar

How to Make Shrimp Chow Mein

  • Cook chow mein noodles as per instruction on packet.
  • Drain and wash under running cold water. Drain again, toss with some sesame oil and keep aside to cool.
  • Heat oil in a wok. Add shrimps and saute till opaque (approx 1-2 mins).
  • Add the sauce mix and stir-fry for a minute.
  • Add all the vegetables and stir-fry for a minute.
  • Add the noodles and mix it well.
  • Saute for 2 mins.
  • Serve hot.
