Ingredients

  • 1.5 packets - chow mein noodles
  • 500 g - peeled, deveined uncooked shrimps
  • 1.5 tbsp - vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tbsp - sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp - dry sherry
  • 2 cups - diagonally sliced Celery
  • 6 - small Broccoli florets
  • 1/4 - red capsicum, julienne strips
  • 1/4 cup - green capsicum, julienne strips
  • 1 - small carrot, julienne strips
  • 1/2 cup - chopped Spring onion
  • For mix:
  • 1 tbsp - dark soy sauce
  • 1.5 tbsp - Oyster sauce
  • 1/4 tsp - black pepper powder
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp - Corn flour
  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  • How to Make Shrimp Chow Mein:

    1. Cook chow mein noodles as per instruction on packet.
    2. Drain and wash under running cold water. Drain again, toss with some sesame oil and keep aside to cool.
    3. Heat oil in a wok. Add shrimps and saute till opaque (approx 1-2 mins).
    4. Add the sauce mix and stir-fry for a minute.
    5. Add all the vegetables and stir-fry for a minute.
    6. Add the noodles and mix it well.
    7. Saute for 2 mins.
    8. Serve hot.
