Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - shrimp
  • 3 - onions, chopped
  • 1 - potato, peeled and chopped
  • 2 - tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 - carrot, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - Tomato puree
  • 2 - green chillies, slit lengthwise
  • 3 - Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 - tbsp oil
  • 1 stalk - celery, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - black pepper powder
  • 1 cup - water
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Shrimp Stew:

    1. Peel and de-vein the shrimps.
    2. Heat oil in a pan.
    3. Fry onions till translucent.
    4. Add garlic paste and simmer for 2 mins.
    5. Add tomatoes and simmer for 2 mins.
    6. Add tomato puree, potatoes, carrots, celery and green chillies.
    7. Simmer, adding more water if required, until vegetables are cooked.
    8. Add shrimps.
    9. Add turmeric powder, salt and pepper powder.
    10. Add a little water and bring to a boil.
    11. Cook till shrimps are pink.
    12. Serve hot.
