  • 1 can- kidney beans (rajma)
  • 1- onion
  • 1- tomato or more
  • 1 tbsp -chopped coriander leaves (optional)
  • a pinch- turmeric powder
  • 1-2- jalapeno peppers (green chillies) OR 1 tsp- red chilly powder
  • 1 tsp- coriander powder (dhania powder)
  • salt
  • 1 tsp -oil

How to Make Simple and Easy Rajma

  • Chop up the onion, tomato and chillies and keep aside.
  • Heat oil in a vessel on full flame for 2 mins.
  • Add the chopped onions and keep stirring until onions become transparent.
  • Add the turmeric powder, chilly powder and coriander powder and stir for 1 min.
  • Add the tomato.
  • Keep stirring for 3 mins or until no more chunks of tomato are visible.
  • Add the salt. Add the can of rajma.
  • Add a cup of water and stir. Close the vessel and allow it to boil for 5 mins.
  • Sprinkle the coriander leaves on top of it.
