Ingredients

  • 1 kg - tender beef
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 2 - onions, chopped finely
  • 2 - green chillies, slit
  • 2 tbsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - Cumins powder
  • 2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - spice powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - chopped garlic
  • Coriander leaves - a few sprigs, chopped for garnishing

How to Make Simple Anglo-Indian Beef Curry

  • Boil the beef in a little water, a pinch of turmeric and a little salt in a pressure cooker till tender.
  • Heat oil in a suitable pan and saute the onions, green chillies and the ginger garlic paste for some time.
  • Add the chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, spice powder and fry for some time with a little water.
  • Add the cooked beef along with the soup, chopped garlic and salt and simmer till the gravy is thick.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
