Ingredients

  • 2 kg - Beef
  • 2 - large onions, cut into quarters
  • 2 tsp - pepper powder
  • salt
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • 3 - large peeled Potatoes

How to Make Simple Anglo-Indian beef roast

  • Wash the meat and rub the salt and pepper into it.
  • Heat the oil in a big pan or pressure cooker and add the meat to it.
  • Cook it on high flame for a few minutes, turning the meat on all sides till it changes colour.
  • Add the onions, potatoes and sufficient water and cook on low heat till the meat is tender.
  • Continue to cook on simmer or low heat till the meat is brown in colour all over and the potatoes too are nicely roasted.
  • Serve it with bread.
