How to Make Simple Cucumber Kootu

  • Peel and cut cucumber and the chillies into small pieces.
  • Add moong dhal, channa dal and 3/4 cups water to the cucumber and chillies.
  • Cook mixture in pressure cooker.
  • Fry black gram dal in a little oil till it turns light brown in colour and grind with coconut.
  • Mix well with cucumber, then add jeera and hing.
  • Season with mustard, black gram dhal and curry leaves. Cook for 2 mins and the cucumber kootu is ready.
