  • 1/2 kg - ground Lamb/mutton
  • 1 tbsp - ginger, Garlic paste
  • 1/4 tbsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 - big Onion
  • 3-4 - Green chillies
  • 1 - big Tomatoes
  • 1/2 tbsp - Jeera
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Simple Kofta Curry:

    1. For Meat Balls:
    2. Cook the meat/lamb without water, since it will leave water.
    3. Make a paste out of green chillies and a little ginger and garlic, jeera etc.
    4. Add the paste to the meat, then one egg and mix well with hand.
    5. If the meat is a bit coarse, grind it in mixer.
    6. Make into small balls.
    7. Fry the balls in little oil.
    8. Do not over fry, just fry lightly.
    9. Note: If the meat become more watery, then add some maida and then make the balls.
    10. Method for Curry:
    11. Add oil in a kadai, about 3 tbsp
    12. Add a little garam masala,
    13. Add onion and fry well.
    14. Add ginger-garlic paste and fry well.
    15. Add chilli powder, turmeric and fry well.
    16. Add tomatoes and fry well.
    17. Cook well till the onion and tomato blend well.
    18. Now add some water, preferably the liquid which was left while cooking the mutton and bring to a boil
    19. Add the meat balls.
    20. Cook for just one boil and garnish with cilantro.
    21. Don't over boil since the meat balls will break.
