Ingredients

  • 250 gms - colaccasia leaves (arbi leaves).
  • 250 gms - Chana atta (besan).
  • 5 gms - Fennel seeds (saunf).
  • 100 gms - sugar.
  • 50 gms - Tamarind pulp.
  • 5 gms - Ginger paste.
  • 5 gms - Green chilli paste.
  • 10 gms - white sesame seeds.
  • 5 gms - Red Chilli powder.
  • 5 gms - coriander powder.
  • 10 gms - Garam Masala powder.
  • Salt to taste.
  • oil to fry.

How to Make Simple Patra

  • Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients except the colacasia leaves.
  • Add some water and prepare a thick paste.
  • Now add this paste on the colacasia leaves and roll the leaves.
  • Now steam the rolls in a steamer for 15-20 mins. Remove from fire and let it cool.
  • Then cut the rolls into small pieces.
  • Now add oil in a kadai and heat the oil and deep fry the pieces and serve with chutney.
