  • 1 small tin - pineapple.
  • 100g - rawa.
  • 100g - cashew nuts, roasted and chopped.
  • 5 tbsp - ghee.
  • 1 tsp - cardamom seeds.
  • a few drops yellow food colouring (optional).
  • a few drops essence of pineapple (optional).
  • sugar to suit the taste.

How to Make Simple Pineapple Halwa

  • Heat ghee. Add rawa and cardamom seeds and keep on stirring to a light golden colour.
  • Put in the syrup from pineapple tin and sugar and keep on stirring till thick.
  • Mix in the pineapple pieces, half the cashew nuts, essence and colour.
  • Put in a serving dish and decorate with remaining cashew nuts.
