  • 4 - potatoes.
  • 1 - onion.
  • 1 - tomato.
  • 1/4 tsp - somb.
  • 1 tsp - Channa dal.
  • 1 tsp - Jeera.
  • 1 tsp - Urad dal.
  • Curry leaves.
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds.
  • 2 tsps - red chilli powder.

How to Make Simple Potato Curry

  • Peel potatoes and cut them into cubes.
  • Take oil in a kadai and add channa dal, urad dal, jeera, mustard seeds, somb and curry leaves.
  • Then add sliced onions and saute them.
  • Add diced tomatoes to it. Add salt and chilli powder to it.
  • After 2 mins add potato to it and pour 1 cup water and allow it to cook. Stir in between and pour water if you need. After the potatoes are done, add little garam masala and garnish with cilantro.
  • You can enjoy this with hot chapattis, puris or rice.
