Ingredients

  • Raw green Mango - 1 big
  • Green chillies - 6 or 7
  • Roasted Peanuts - 1 cup
  • Turmeric - 1 pinch
  • Oil - 1 spoon
  • Urad Dal - 1 spoon
  • Mustard - 1 spoon
  • Jeera (cumin seeds) - 1 spoon
  • Curry leaves - for seasoning
  • Salt - to taste
  • How to Make Simple Raw Mango Chutney:

    1. Cut the mango into 1 inch pieces.
    2. Grind peanuts to powder in a mixer.
    3. Add the raw mango pieces, chillies, salt and some water.
    4. Grind into a paste.
    5. Heat oil in a bowl. Add mustard, jeera, urad dal and curry leaves.
    6. When they start spluttering, add turmeric and the ground mango chilli paste.
    7. Mix well and turn off the heat.
    8. This goes well with rice, dosa, idli, rotis, bread.
