How to Make Simply Cabbage

  • Wash and drain cabbage.
  • Heat oil in a heavy saucepan.
  • Add seeds, allow to splutter.
  • Add asafoetida, chillies.
  • Add cabbage and toss lightly with spoon.
  • Put all masalas and tomato on top of cabbage.
  • Cover for 2 mins with a lid and sprinkle 1 tbsp water on it.
  • Simmer covered on low for 2 mins.
  • Pour off water, uncover lid, and stir till well mixed.
  • Cook till all moisture evaporates.
  • Pour into serving dish.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and coconut powder.
  • Serve hot with phulkas or rice.
