Ingredients

  • Spinach - 2 bunches
  • Water - 100 ml
  • Yogurt (low fat) 32 oz - beaten
  • Green chillies - 2, slit lengthwise
  • Curry leaves - 5/6
  • safoetida - 1 pinch
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Vegetable oil - 2.5 tbsp.

How to Make Sizzling Spinach Raita

  • Wash and chop the spinach into very fine pieces.
  • Now cook the spinach in water until soft and drain the excess water.
  • Let it cool.
  • Meanwhile, for the seasoning, heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds.
  • Then add the asafoetida, green chillies, curry leaves and saute for 1-2 mins. Keep aside.
  • Now take the spinach, mix well with the yogurt, and add the seasoning.
  • Serve with rotis or rice.
