3 - day-old rotis or plain tortillas

1/2 cup - chopped veggies

1 cup - cooked cold Rice

1/2 cup - grated cheese

1 packet - Maggie masala powder

3 - colocasia leaves

1/2 tsp - chilli flakes

1 tbsp - Butter

salt to taste


  1. Cut leaves roughly to size of roti or tortilla.
  2. Dip each leaf in boiling water for a second.
  3. Remove, pat dry with soft kitchen towel.
  4. Mix chilli flakes, cheese into rice.
  5. Mix Maggie masala, salt into chopped veggies.
  6. Spread leaves carefully on worktop.
  7. Spread one third rice over each.
  8. Press down gently.
  9. Place a layer of veggies along diameter of rice.
  10. Now carefully roll each leaf tight as possible.
  11. Press down gently. Refrigerate.
  12. Butter each tortilla or roti lightly.
  13. Place one chilled filling-rolled leaf in centre.
  14. Wrap carefully with tortilla.
  15. Place on warmed skillet on medium flame till crisp.
  16. Turn and cook the other side.
  17. Serve hot and crisp with sauce, chutney or ketchup.
