Ingredients

  • 1 - medium size Snake gourd
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1 sprig - curry leaves.
  • 2 tbsp - grated Coconut
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds

How to Make Snake Gourd Foogath

  • Scrape and chop the snake gourd into small pieces then wash well and drain.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
  • When they begin to splutter add the green chillies and curry leaves and fry for a few minutes.
  • Add the snake gourd, salt and coconut.
  • Cover and cook for a few minutes till the snake gourd is cooked and all the water dries up.
